Tree planting for Easter!
New City Church is celebrating Easter a little differently this year! We will be planting a fruit tree as a symbol of resurrection.
Jesus says, "Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds" (John 12:24). Easter, conveniently, comes at the end of winter when what has died is renewed. Though the dormant fruit tree (like the dead kernel of wheat) seems dead, it will go into the ground to be resurrected into new and abundant life--producing much fruit, hopefully!
In order to better demonstrate the impact of Easter, we wil teach a very powerful method of planting developed by Ellen White called "Planting by the Blueprint.":
Adam used this method in his edible landscaping business in GA, and saw great results. In fact, this method has been shown to produce 20 times the amount of fruit and biomass as the conventional forestry method. But don't take our word for it, come and see first hand!
If you would like to help plant, bring gardening clothes! Otherwise, you are welcome to cheer us on from the sidelines. Children are welcome to participate as well :)
We will plant from 6:30 pm to sundown (about 7:30 pm) and you are welcome to join in a bonfire afterward where we will have s'mores! Bring something to share if you can.
